Microsoft Teams
Connect Microsoft Teams with a work or school account.
Teams uses Microsoft Graph OAuth, the same app registration as Outlook. If it is missing from the catalog, this install has not set the Microsoft Graph app. Personal Microsoft accounts cannot use these actions.
Grant the Teams Graph permissions on that app before anyone connects. Two of them need a Microsoft admin to consent for the whole organization: reading channel messages (ChannelMessage.Read.All) and reading team members (TeamMember.Read.All).
Connect
- Open Connected tools → Microsoft Teams → Connect.
- Choose Personal or Workspace.
- Click Continue to Microsoft Teams and approve access.
Example prompts
Type one into a chat, or use it as a schedule's task.
- "What was discussed in the Sales channel today? List the open questions."
- "Search Teams for messages about the Meier order from this week."
- "Create a Teams meeting for tomorrow at 14:00 about the Q4 offer and give me the join link."
Approvals
Reading runs without a prompt: list teams, channels, team members, chats and messages, and search chat and channel messages. Send, reply, create chat, and create meeting need approval.
Creating a meeting returns a join link. It does not put an event on the Outlook calendar.
If something goes wrong
- Channel messages or team members do not load: a Microsoft admin has not consented to
ChannelMessage.Read.AllorTeamMember.Read.Allyet. - Actions fail with a personal Microsoft account: Teams needs a work or school account.
For problems every tool shares, see If something goes wrong.
