Stedia

Slack

Connect Slack as yourself. The agent posts under your name.

Slack is under Messaging. This connector lets the agent read and write a workspace as you. It is not the Stedia bot for Slack, which each person links under Slack, Teams & more. See Chat platforms.

Connect

  1. Open Connected tools → Slack → Connect.
  2. Choose Personal or Workspace.
  3. Click Continue to Slack and approve.

What "as you" means

Signing in connects Slack as yourself. No bot joins the workspace. Messages the agent posts carry your name and avatar, and the agent reads what you can read: your DMs, the private channels you are in, and every public channel. Your colleagues see messages from you, so review what the agent drafts.

One limit comes with it: you can only post in channels you have joined. Joining one needs approval like any other write.

Slack is hidden from the catalog if this install has no Slack connector app configured. Ask whoever runs your deployment.

Example prompts

Type one into a chat, or use it as a schedule's task.

  • "Summarize what happened in #support since yesterday and list the unanswered questions."
  • "Search Slack for messages about the Meier delivery from this week."
  • "Post in #team: 'The office is closed on Friday. Deliveries go to the warehouse.'"

Approvals

Reading runs without a prompt. Post, reply, edit, react, and join a public channel need approval. The approval card names the channel you are about to post in, and the card you get back links to the message in Slack.
