Remote MCP
Add a remote MCP server as an org-owned connector.
MCP is admin-only. Open Connectors → MCP.
A remote MCP server becomes an org connector. People connect to it like any other connector. Tools from that server show up in chat and on Custom Agents once someone has an active connection.
Add a server
- Open the MCP tab.
- Enter the server URL and the display name you want in the catalog.
- Complete auth if the server uses OAuth. Stedia follows the server's OAuth 2.1 flow.
- Save. The server appears in Catalog.
Mark tools that need approval the same way you do in Studio.
If connect fails, the server URL is wrong, the OAuth app is not registered for this Stedia API host, or the server rejected the client. Self-host operators set MCP OAuth env on the API. See Self-host.
