Google Docs
Connect Google Docs with your Google account.
Google Docs is OAuth only. If it is missing from the catalog, this install has not set the Docs client.
Connect
- Open Connected tools → Google Docs → Connect.
- Choose Personal or Workspace.
- Click Continue to Google Docs and approve access.
The consent screen asks for Docs and for Drive. Drive is what makes finding a document by name and reading or writing its comments possible; the Docs API on its own only reaches a document you already have the id for.
What the agent can do
Find documents, read one as text with its headings, lists and tables intact, create a document, add text, replace or delete wording, format a phrase or a paragraph, and read, write, answer and resolve comments.
Edits are anchored to wording, not to positions. Stedia reads the document, quotes the words it means to change, and stops if that wording is no longer there, so an edit never lands in the wrong paragraph.
Example prompts
Type one into a chat, or use it as a schedule's task.
- "Open the doc 'Onboarding checklist' and list every item that has no owner."
- "Create a Google Doc called 'Offer Müller GmbH' with a short intro and the three packages we discussed."
- "In the doc 'Terms and conditions', replace '14 days' with '30 days' and leave a comment explaining why."
Approvals
Reading runs without a prompt, including reading a document's comments. Creating a document, inserting or replacing text, formatting, and writing, answering or resolving a comment ask first.
